Yontocket is an unincorporated community in Del Norte County, California. It is 3 miles (4.8 km) west-southwest of Smith River,[2] at an elevation of 26 feet (8 m).
The Yontocket Historic District, an archeological site of the Indigenous peoples of California on the National Register of Historic Places, is located near here.
A massacre of Tolowa people took place near here in 1853.
